What is the Plasmacluster technology?
Sharp’s plasma cluster technology consists of negatively and positively charged ions that are introduced into the room together with moisture. These clusters bind to impurities and render them harmless through oxidation. In addition, the plasma clusters eliminate static electricity from your living and/or working environment.

Why is static electricity undesirable?
When your air and everything in it is statically charged, the contaminants such as viruses, bacteria, pollen and other allergens attach themselves to the walls, furniture, curtains, etc. of your home. If you come into contact with these, they can have undesirable effects. The Plasmacluster air purifier eliminates the static charge in the air and removes the impurities that have dissolved.

How does the new Sharp Plasma Cluster Air Purifier work?
The plasma cluster air purifier’s air purification system consists of two components. First, the air is treated by the ionic plasma cluster. This eliminates impurities. After that, the debris and dirty odors present in the room are passed through a series of filters. First a so-called micron mesh pre-filter that filters most of the dirt out of the air, then a deodorant filter that removes dirty odors, then a 0.3 micron virus and dust filter that filters viruses, bacteria and others in the air filters out existing allergens.

The KC-D series Plasmacluster air purifiers have an elegant design and therefore look good in any living or working environment. The handy wheels make it easy to move around when you want to vacuum or enjoy the clean air in another room. The KC-D series is also very quiet and you will hardly notice them doing their cleaning job even in your sleep. The water tank is easy to remove, transport and clean.

New Plasmacluster Ion Shower feature
The new KC-D series features an ion shower function that sends a short, powerful burst of negative and positive ions through your room to quickly and effectively give the room a cleansing pulse and quickly remove all static electricity.
